International DBSB-Jubilee Tournament for Blind and Visually Handicapped Chess Players.
Date: Saturday August 4th (Day of arrival) to Sunday 12th (Day of departure) 2001
August 11th 2001 the DBSB will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
On behalf of this event we cordially invite one player and one guide of each IBCA member country. The inscription fee for these 2 persons of each country is Euro 350 including free accommodation and lodging in a double room. The supplement for a single room is 5 Euro per day. Every country is very welcome to send additional players on their own expenses. The cost per additional person is Euro 465 in a double room and Euro 505 in a single room. This covers full boarding (luxurious breakfast buffet, two meals) and accommodation for the whole time. Jubilee dinner and celebration (2001-11-August), transfer from and to the nearest air port or railway stations Gelsenkirchen or Essen.
Tournament fee for an additional player: Euro 30
Place: Maritim-Hotel Gelsenkirchen (Four Stars, indoor swimming pool, sauna, beauty farm, two bars etc.)

The hotel is situated in the town centre and about a ten minutes walk from the local railway station. The nearest international air port is Duesseldorf-Lohhausen. The nearest great railway stations are: Gelsenkirchen Hauptbahnhof or Essen Hauptbahnhof.
Playing conditions: 7 rounds swiss system (40 moves in two hours each and 1 hour each for the rest of the game, total: six hours per game).

5th 50 Euro
Depending on the participants (minimum of three players in each category) there will be a price for the best female player, the best junior player and the best senior over sixty). Rating prices are envisaged. Prices are not supposed to be accumulated.
