The Deutsche Blinden- und Sehbehinderten-Schachbund e. V. (DBSB) is the Top-Organization of the blind and low visioned chess players in Germany. It is a legal member of the Deutscher Schachbund (DSB) and therfore also a member of the Deutscher Sportbund. The DBSB has about 400 members in 16 Chessclubs. About 150 of its members also play in clubs of the Deutscher Schachbund, where they are usually the only people with disabilities.
